The walk toward reconciliation will be a long one and lead us down many paths. Our report suggests we have begun our walk — there are some bright spots in our findings — and that we have a lot of work ahead of us.
The Canadian Reconciliation Barometer is the work of many, including those who have shared their stories and time with us. We are grateful for the Residential School Survivors, Elders, and reconciliation leaders who continue to teach us what “reconciliation” means.
Reflecting the belief that we must work together to write a better history than the past we all reckon with today–so that future generations can live a good life–the barometer team itself includes both Indigenous and non-Indigenous members. We describe what we do, our approach, and who and where we are in the “About Us” section.
